It is Full High Definition resolution. Full HD in any device refers to the fact that it is capable of showing images of 1080 pixels at 1290 x 1080 pixels. Such a resolution is prevalent in widescreen TVs and computer monitors (ratio 16:9).
It is the most common resolution in new TVs and computer monitors. Generally, people tend to get confused with other names of this resolution only. Ultra HD or UHD. It is four times the resolution from 1080p or Full HD.
Thus, a 4K is defined as a horizontal display resolution with nearly 4000 pixels.
An 8K TV means that it has an eight thousand pixels screen resolution. It is basically a successor of 4K and also is the highest resolution till date.
This resolution means 7680 x 4320 pixels and a total pixel of nearly 33 million.
Presently, this is not available on many TVs, but soon it will be.

The Concept of 720p vs 1080i
Often there are many specifications written in devices. One such specification is ‘HD Ready 720p’ and ‘Display 1080i’. Generally, people get confused with such specifications.
Thus, first, let us go on to clarify the meaning behind p and i. The ‘p’ here stands for Progressive scan, and the ‘i’ stands for Interlaced scan.
Now, these two scans are two different methods helping the TV to display each frame video.
In simple terms, 1080p resolution displays 1080 horizontal lines but in one frame. On the other hand, the 1080i displays half horizontal lines in one frame and the other half in the next frame.
It tricks the eyes that there is only one single picture. However, sooner or later, the quality gets exposed.
Note that 1080p is full HD and not 1080i. Thus, ‘i’ can be a sales trick in showrooms. 1080i is not better quality than 720p.
The Concepts of 4K, UHD, Full HD, and 8K
To begin with, there is a difference between UHD and 4K resolution.
The term 4K resolution originated from a professional production. The 4K native resolution is 4096 x 2160. It is four times than 2K, i.e., 2048 x 1080. Moreover, the 4K resolution indicates that the horizontal pixels are nearly four thousand.
Coming to the UHD, it is considered the consumer format. It comes with a lower resolution (2160 x 3840). It is not exactly the same as the 4K resolution. Yet, it is advertised as a 4K label.

The high-speed cables can easily transfer 4K video at 24fps. On the other hand, the standard speed HDMI cables easily handle 1080i. However, they may fail to handle the bandwidth of 4K.
Moreover, the data transfer speed depends on the connector. Note that the latest HDMI specifies 2.0. This transfers 4K video at 120 fps and 8K at 60fps.
The DisplayPort, on the other hand, offers 4K output at 60fps.
